Pain Due to Subluxations
A term we use in chiropractic is subluxation. As sub means “less than,” and luxation “dislocation,” that means when subluxations are caused by an accident, vertebrae above or below are both subluxated. The vertebrae are out of position, and they interfere with the transmission of the nerves in that region. When that interference is present, pain, tingling, numbness, or a lack of function can occur.
